How Your INFINITI Around View® Monitor Works
Multiple Cameras
This system uses not one, but four cameras located on the front, rear, and sides of your INFINITI. They have four superwide-angle lenses, and their combined images give you a virtual 360-degree real-time view of the area around your vehicle.
When you shift into reverse, the image from the rear camera is instantly displayed on your screen. This allows you to easily see vehicles, people, animals, or objects directly behind you and can help prevent a collision. The system produces predictive guidelines on the screen, helping you to reverse in safety.
Warnings
You don’t have to rely on seeing something, as the system is designed to rapidly warn you if it detects anything. Sonar sensors in your front and rear bumpers continually scan their areas for objects. You’ll see a graphic representation of a top-down view of your INFINITI with different vision angles.
If an object enters any of these angles, you’ll see a graphic on your car’s screen. You’ll also hear a warning alert when something is detected.
Moving Object Detection
This advanced feature can help detect moving objects in any direction around your vehicle. It works when your speed is 5 mph or less and helps identify moving objects directly around your vehicle. A real-time view of the moving object will appear on your front screen.
Operating the Monitor
Using this system is as easy as just hitting the ON button. By simply going into reverse, you will see it appear on your in-dash display. The default is a top-down view, but you can adjust the view you see of your vehicle as well. You can change views, zoom in, and more.
